Name: None So vile
Artist Name: Cryptopsy
Release: July 3, 1996
Thoughts: To the untrained ear, Cryptopsy's None So Vile Album might sound like some of the most inconherent mix of screaming, goat sounds, and bass licks. However, I argue that it is one of the most concise and interesting death metal project to date. The band, starting in the hellish landscape of Quebec Montreal, joined together to create this insanely interesting orchestra of different soundscapes. Every single riff, drum fill, and bass solo fits and transitions so well. Not to mention how technichally comprehensive they are. I couldnt imagine playing one song in full, compared to them on tour playing a good 40 minutes lmaoo. Its also important mention how unique and fitting the lead vocalist Dan Green is within the whole mix. When he left to focus on his career, the band truly lost what made them special. In conclusion, its an amazing brutal death metal album, and it 100% deserves a listen (Date Reviewed: 2-13-2024)
